Tubing head spool is usually a spool with top and bottom flange ends. It serves to suspend the tubing and to seal the annular space between tubing and casing,which combined with tubing hanger.

2.Functions of API 6A Tubing Head Spool

1)Hang the tubing string inside well;

2)Seal the annular space between tubing and casing;

3)As a crossover to connect casing head downwards and X-mas tree upwards;

4)The tubing head spool is provided with both side outlets for injection and well clean-up operations.
