TIW safety valve, is also called full open safety valve, it is ball type,used to stop flow through the drill string when the drill string is being withdrawn from the well.like the kelly valve, the TIW safety valve is full opening, The ball-type design permits the valve to be compact, easy to handle, and yet have great strength. Standard test pressure is 10,000PSI, but higher pressure ratings are available.

The TIW safety valve can be used as a dill pipe safety valve or Lower Kelly Valve.
The TIW safety valve can stop mud loss when the kelly is disconnected from the drill string.
TIW (Kelly) Valves are manufactured from AISI 4140/4145 alloy steel and can be trimmed to standard or H2S.
The TIW (kelly) Valves can be provided as one or two piece construction.
